Public Speaking

As a public speaker, Connolly has a unique ability to translate complex subjects for audiences at all levels. She is comfortable addressing large crowds, such as an audience of 3,000 people at the Chautauqua Institution, and has moderated a series of intensive, day-long seminars for Mayo Clinic executives. Her breadth of experience enables her to speak authoritatively on a range of subjects including politics, Latin America, healthcare, journalism and what it takes to be a successful woman in the male-dominated world of Washington reporting.

In early 2010, Connolly made appearances at the Milken Global Health Conference in Los Angeles, the New York Stem Cell Foundation and New York University’s John Brademas Center for the Study of Congress.

She has spoken at the prestigious National Press Club, the Cleveland Clinic and numerous universities, including Yale, Syracuse and Harvard. Among the organizations that have invited Connolly to speak are: Research America!, eWomen Network, the Biotechnology Industry Organization and the American Public Health Association.

Connolly spoke about the role of the media in covering health and science issues at a roundtable sponsored by Discovery Health.
